Ridge Augmentation

Teeth help to preserve the surrounding bone and tissue. Once a tooth is lost, the bone and tissue shrink away, creating an indention in the gum. This happens because the jawbone isn't holding a tooth in place anymore, even though there may be a bridge or partial in place.

Ridge augmentation uses bone and tissue-grafting procedures to fill in the indented area of the jaw and gums, leaving you with a smooth gum line.
